The neighborhood of Usaquén, comprising most of the buildings which belonged to the old municipality of the same name, is characterized by its colonial style architecture. Some important buildings are: the Santa Barbara church (constructed in 1665 and modernized in the 20th century), the old country manor of the same name (now a mall) and the San José de Usaquén seminary. A famous flea market (in Spanish “Mercado de las pulgas”) is held weekly every Sunday.
